ANZ IDLSoc - Events
Training
In support of IDLSoc goals, the Chapter has been hosting Training Days (previously Masterclasses) on behalf of the local TDL community to further develop their skills and understanding of TDLs.

These Training Sessions are cofunded with the ADF and a limited number of seats made available to members at no cost on a first come first in basis.

Previous Training Session topics have included; TDL operations and planning, Introduction to Link-16, Variable Message Format, Common Data Link, US and NATO TDL implementation and Link-22. Attendee feedback from this Training has been very positive.

The Joint Data Network Training Cell is facilitating two Link 22 Information Sessions over the period 30 Mar - 2 Apr 2020.

Link-22, or the NATO Improved Link Eleven (NILE), is a persistent, secure, reliable, Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) resistant medium speed radio system that provides Beyond Line-of-sight tactical information exchange communications. Link-22 was developed to replace and overcome the known deficiencies of Link-11, support interoperability in a multi-Link environment and designed to complement Link 16 to enhance war-fighting capabilities.

Attendance is free, with lunch, morning and afternoon teas provided. Each session is limited to 70 attendees.
